  INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE

Few Portuguese-based firms can offer such a great number and diversity of international assignment opportunities as Miranda. This is possible due to our network of affiliated international offices under the Miranda Alliance, as well as our close relationship with DLA Piper and its 67 offices in 28 countries around the world. Several associates are currently assigned to international offices in Angola, Mozambique, Equatorial Guinea, Timor-Leste, São Tomé and Príncipe, Brazil and Houston (U.S.). We expect international work opportunities for Miranda attorneys to increase significantly in the coming years.

Miranda strongly encourages associates to take advantage of international work opportunities. We believe that international experience contributes to a better understanding of how international offices function from one location to the next and allows associates to understand the nature and challenges of an international organisation. What is more, international assignments give associates the opportunity to become familiar with different legal environments and practices, to know different people and build close relationships with international clients and organisations. Associates transferring to an international office generally are expected to remain in their new location for two to three years, although short-term secondments and exchanges may also be available in some locations.

If you have an internationally oriented mind and would welcome the challenge of working abroad, Miranda is the place to start or advance your legal career.
