  TRAINEE HIRING

Each year we actively recruit several trainees amongst the best law school graduates. The selection and initial interviews are usually done by a specialised recruitment firm. Afterwards, selected candidates are invited to visit our offices for a second round of interviews with two or more partners. Offers are extended within a maximum of 8 days.


In addition, we regularly visit law school campuses and participate in job fairs. This allows us to interact early with students and present Miranda as a principal option to start a legal career. We encourage students to obtain information on their school’s initiatives to promote interaction with law firms and to not refrain from contacting Miranda partners and associates who participate in such initiatives.


As an internationally oriented firm, we are always on the lookout to recruit students from the various jurisdictions covered by the Miranda Alliance. No other Portuguese-based firm has hired and provided training to so many students from Angola, Mozambique, São Tomé, Guinea-Bissau and Cape Verde as we have done over the last 20 years. So, if you are a student from one of these countries, think Miranda first when you consider where to start your legal career.


We recruit trainees with the expectation that we will be able to extend to each of them an offer for an Associate position after training is successfully completed. So far, we have been tremendously successful in realising this expectation. In recent years, over 75% of our trainees have been invited to stay with the Firm as Associates.
