• Advising Japanese trading house on waste management, water discharge and quality control, site rehabilitation and environmental licensing issues associated with mining operations and facilities in Portugal;

• Counselling Australian publicly-listed global company in respect of environmental licensing and safety requirements applicable to the production, handling and storage of explosives in Portugal;

• Advising US bank on liability issues in respect of oil and liquefied natural gas spills in Portugal, including a research of the recent history of similar spills and associated criminal proceedings;  

• Assisting company owning windfarm in Portugal in obtaining all environmental licenses and consents needed to initiate its operations;

• Advising Anglo-South African mining company on environmental requirements applicable to its Mozambican subsidiary and compliance status of same as part of a process of admission to trade in the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange;

• Representing major US oil company in implementation and development of liquefied natural gas project in Angola, including thorough advice on environmental licensing requirements for same project;

• Issuing legal opinion to syndicate of international banks on lenders’ liability for oil pollution in connection with USD 300 million financing of acquisition of FPSO to be deployed offshore Angola;

• Counselling group of foreign oil companies in Angola in the drafting of multiple environmental regulations applicable to petroleum exploration and production activities;

• Acting for Norwegian oil company in approval process of environmental impact assessment and issuance of environmental license for its petroleum exploration operations offshore Mozambique, including the negotiation with local authorities and other stakeholders related compensation package;

• Advising South African oil company in connection with environmental requirements of abandonment and decommissioning applicable to oil and gas exploration and production activities in Mozambique;

• Pro-bono assistance to Portuguese non-governmental environmental protection association in connection with construction of dam in Southern Portugal.
