Ines Almeida and Claudia Veloso Join Public Law Practice Group
Miranda is pleased to announce that Associates Ines Almeida and Claudia Veloso have joined the Firm’s Public Law Practice Group.
Ines Almeida was previously legal advisor to the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries. She is a graduate of the Lusiada University Law School and holds post-graduate degrees in Urban Planning and Environmental Law, and in Legal and Economical Translation from the Lisbon University Law School and the Lisbon Higher Institute of languages and Management, respectively.
Claudia Veloso joins Miranda from Oporto law firm Telles de Abreu & Associates. She is a graduate of the Oporto Law School of the Portuguese Catholic University and completed post graduate studies in Public Contracting at the same school.
Ines and Claudia will focus their practice on Administrative Law issues, including litigation.
According to Managing Partner Rui Amendoeira “We have witnessed a sharp increase in public law work in recent times which is not surprising given government’s efforts to revive the economy through an increase of public projects and works. Ines and Claudia’s joining of Miranda is very timely and will strengthen our public law capability”.
