Nuno Antunes (born 1963), Of Counsel. Graduate of the Lisbon University Law School (1995). Joined the Firm in 2006.

Nuno attended the curricular program of the Master degree in Juridical-Political Sciences by the Lisbon University Law School (1996). He also obtained an MA in International Boundaries (1998) and a Ph.D with a thesis on maritime boundary delimitation (2002) by the University of Durham (United Kingdom).

Before joining the Firm, Nuno worked as a legal adviser. His focus was Public International Law, in particular Law of the Sea. He published widely on Public International Law, in Portugal and abroad. He also worked in Timor-Leste (East Timor) as legal advisor to the Prime Minister for the petroleum sector. He participated in the Timor Sea maritime boundaries and petroleum resources negotiations, and in the drafting of legislation and regulations for the petroleum sector.

Since joining the Firm, Nuno has focused his practice primarily on oil & gas and mineral resources. He has also worked in real estate, administrative law and public international law.

Nuno is fluent in English.
