Rita Correia (born 1963), founding partner. Graduate of the Lisbon Law School of the Portuguese Catholic University (1987). Admitted in 1989.

Rita is one of the Firm’s founding partners together with Agostinho de Miranda and Rui Amendoeira. She acts for major international companies investing in Portugal, and portuguese and other companies investing overseas.

Her practice is focused on oil & gas, tax, corporate law and real estate, areas in which she is recognised fo her knowledge and experience. For example, Rita has advised on a significant number of oil & gas transactions, including negotiations for Production Sharing Contracts, Joint Venture Agreements, farm-ins and farm-outs, among many others. Her experience in tax matters is also significant. She has been involved in the tax planning of several international Joint Venture Agreements and in the setting up of various investment projects in Portugal and abroad. She also advises clients on real estate matters, being involved in some of the most important real estate projects carried out in Portugal and abroad. Rita also has extensive experience in leading project teams comprising lawyers from different departments of the Firm.

She is a regular and highly rated contributor to a number of newspapers and legal bulletins, having published several articles on tax and oil & gas. Rita is also an experienced lecturer, with considerable experience in events organised for clients and colleagues on a number of oil & gas and taxation topics.

Rita was ranked as an Expert in Tax in the 2010 edition of the European Legal Experts Guide.
