The National Agency for Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels (Agência Nacional do Petróleo, Gás e Biocombustíveis, “ANPG”), the National Concessionaire for the Angolan petroleum sector, announced today that a new petroleum licensing round will be launched on 2 October 2019.

The licensing round is an implementing step of the ‘General Strategy for Awarding of Petroleum Concessions’ (2019-2025), publicized in February 2019.

Ten petroleum concessions in the Namibe and Benguela Basins will be put on offer: Blocks 11, 12, 13, 27, 28, 29, 41, 42 and 43 (in the Namibe Basin) and Block 10 (in the Benguela Basin).

The dates of the roadshows and the relevant Terms of Reference are expected to be disclosed shortly by the ANPG.
